Summary of Job:
The Ticket Scanning Lead will provide a high level of guest service while ensuring all guests are scanned and have the appropriate product to access our Ski Resort. Applicant will have ability to troubleshoot scanning equipment problems as needed, deal with guest pass problems in a professional manner, and have a vast knowledge of the resort and surrounding community. Must be a team player with good communication skills and be able to assist in the training of new employees. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and possess ski/snowboard riding abilities or have the ability to learn. Must have flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Must be able to maintain a positive attitude about working outside in adverse weather conditions for up to 8 hours
Greet, engage, and scan every guest checking each ticket/pass for validity
Responsible for the resolution of guest issues and assisting in service recovery
Timely and equitable distribution of ticket scanner breaks
Understand all ticket and pass products and the benefits associated with each in order to provide the highest level of guest service
Assists in the training of employees to provide a high level of proactive guest service; coaches and mentors employees and enforces company and departmental policies including grooming and appearance, proper guest engagement, ensuring every guest is scanned, and other job performance aspects as applicable
Troubleshoots and ensures the proper functionality of scanning equipment
Responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and presentable work environment
Promotes and ensures safety in the participation and completion of all job duties
Assists in building and maintaining a safe and presentable work area.
Communicate professionally in-person and over the phone and radio, to both internal and external guests. Follow proper radio protocols and procedures
Create a fun and professional work experience while communicating in a courteous and respectful manner
Be knowledgeable of all facility opening and closing procedures
Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements: .
At least 1 year of previous scanning experience
At least 2 years of Guest Service Experience (required)
Must be at least 16 years old
Must enjoy working with people and interacting with guests.
Able to work unsupervised, including establishing priorities, working independently or within a group, and proceeding with objectives without supervision.
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times
Ability to work weekends and holidays as necessary
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions – including but not limited to snow, extreme cold, and wind
Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate or better level (preferred)
Able to lift at least 55lbs
Assist with snow work when needed
