Job Description

The Assistant manager Retail/Rental will provide administrative support to the Retail/Rental, Supervisors and employees. This is an integral role within Retail/Rental and will require the candidate to be well organized with excellent time management skills. We are seeking highly motivated candidates who understand how to take initiative and have the ability to act professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times. Provide leadership and operational management skills necessary to assist in the growth of the financial success of Retail/Rental. This is a challenging and exciting position tasked with the responsibility of assisting the director in all department related objectives. This is a seasonal position running approximately from October to April.

Essential Job Functions

  • Interacting and responding effectively to inquiries from guests and employees in person, by email and by telephone.

  • Work closely with the director and other resort management team members to contribute to the overall betterment of the guest experience, employee experience, and financial results of the resort.

  • Assist in the establishment of Retail/Rental procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards to aid in scheduling and the tracking of revenue generation and expenses.

  • Assisting with Payroll and HR paperwork as needed

  • Maintaining electronic filing system (data entry, record maintenance, etc.)

  • Conduct data entry with attention to detail and timeliness.

  • Assist in the training, and development of staff, seasonal supervisors and front-line staff capable of and delivering exceptional service results.

  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office and Filemaker

  • Maintaining a clean and safe office environment

  • Supporting staff in assigned project based work

  • Ability to work in other resort capacities as business volume and seasons change.


  • High School diploma - preferred

  • 4 year college degree - preferred.

  • Ability to speak, read, write and communicate clearly in English. Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to act resourcefully and adapt to a changing environment while providing exceptional customer service skills to guests and employees alike - Preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and Filemaker.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, perform well under pressure, anticipate problems, and take appropriate action by proper planning and prioritizing.

  • Ability to facilitate open and constructive communication across multiple levels of employees and managers.

  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and high volume periods - Required.
