Job Summary:

The Senior Manager will oversee multi-unit mountain dining for Beaver Creek Ski Resort. The ideal candidate will have a senior level of operations management experience over multiple food and beverage units as well as a strong ability to develop relationships with key business partners and other functional groups. We also desire candidates who are able to bring the resort brand vision to life through culinary activation and guest experience. Most meaningfully, we are looking for an individual who will be strategic and passionate about solutions with strong leadership and extensive food & beverage expertise encompassing multi-unit high volume operations. This position will sit as part of the resort’s Senior Mountain Dining Leadership Team, driving innovation, quality, and profitability in our restaurant operations, and will sit as a member of the Resort Leadership Team working to drive an overall high quality resort experience.

Job Specifications:

  • Outlet: Beaver Creek Mountain Dining- Citrea, Spruce, Saddle Ridge, The Ranch, Cookie Cabin, BCMD events

  • The budgeted range starts at $74,100 - $96,465 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for on-mountain restaurants in the Mountain Dining division, including Quick-Service and Full-Service restaurants, and maintaining a high standard of quality and service to maximize the guest experience and support the resort brand.

  • Responsible for compiling capital project needs for operations, executing menu concepts and service guidelines, and ensuring operations are maintaining a high level of guest and employee service.

  • Works as a member of the Mountain Dining Senior Leadership Team to drive a high quality resort experiences and supporting other resort departments through the process.

  • Builds and develops a hardworking management team that is aligned with resort goals and culture and can deliver to established operational standards.

  • Works with the Management Team to develop a strong, engaged and collaborative team through trust building, accountability and servant leadership.

  • Ensures that operations are implementing sanitation and safety practices, aligning with labor laws and company policies, and submitting monthly inventory reports.

  • Responsible for financial results in all outlets, driving revenue and managing cost of sales, labor, and expense to achieve overall contribution targets.

  • Responsible for department strategy using data and lead measures for developing emerging leaders, revenue generation, branding of outlets, and future capital projects.

  • Responsible for implementation and execution of Vail Resorts F&B SOP’s and standard methodologies.

  • Follows company compliance requirements. Is responsible for the compliance of state liquor laws and all health regulations.

  • Ensures the Mountain Dining department is owning the charge in regard to recycling efforts and environmental initiatives.

  • Responsible for day to day maintenance of Mountain Dining facilities to meet standards for safety, cleanliness and overall appearance, inside and out (including restrooms, snow removal, and exterior signage).

  • Responsible to partner with HR and finance on recruiting and hiring/workforce planning to reach desired staffing levels in order to achieve revenue and service goals.

Job Requirements:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in multi-unit, high volume, full service, fast casual, and quick service operations.

  • Strong track record of leadership growth and team development.

  • Strong learning agility; enjoys and excels in environments where he/she must seek and tackle new and increasingly sophisticated strategic business challenges.

  • The ability to provide successful innovation and leadership throughout organizational change scenarios.

  • High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.

  • Strong business and financial acumen.

  • Ability to partner with colleagues and operate at a senior level.

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of F&B management experience.

  • ServSafe and TIPS Certifications (will be required prior to start of job).

  • EpicEmployee, Coupa, Peoplesoft, Avero & Infogenesis experience.

  • Hotel, Restaurant, & Resort experience.

  • Ability to ski or ride intermediate terrain

The expected pay range is $74,100 - $96,465 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
