DoubleTree by Hilton – Breckenridge is seeking an Advanced Level Engineering Maintenance Tech to join their team. The Engineering Team is responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of the DoubleTree property while delivering excellent service to both guests and employees alike. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic team attitude toward service, They’ll be reliable, professional, and possess the maintenance and handy skills necessary to excel and grow. You will be working for Vail Resorts and Hilton Worldwide. Doubletree Breckenridge is held to all Hilton brand standards, and expectations. This allows for upward mobility in both companies.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Lead/manage smaller projects, including electrical/mechanical updates and improvements.
Independently handle repairs including electrical, lighting, other advanced maintenance.
Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements, upgrades or maintenance as directed.
Independently assess property damages and corrective action plans, especially in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
Maintain all facilities and operation systems to be in a safe and efficient working order, i.e. auto doors, exit doorways, Onity Locks, and kitchen equipment.
Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and guest rooms.
Attend to any work orders and both guest and departmental/employee requests.
Complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
Maintain records of all work activities and support materials.
Provide written reports to other departments as needed.
High School Diploma - required
3+ year experience in maintenance - required
12 months of commercial building maintenance & operations - preferred
Basic electrical troubleshooting and electrical knowledge of control voltage and 120/240vac - preferred
HVAC and/or kitchen cooler/Freezer experience - preferred
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record - required
Basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office - required
English proficiency - required
Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays - required
Trade School Degree/licenses - preferred
Bilingual Spanish - preferred
Must be positive, team player, willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success and safety of the property.
