Keystone Emergency Services (KES) is now accepting applications to serve in the role of Public Safety Officer. This position is great fit for a values-based individual that is passionate about professional service delivery in a resort destination community. We are searching for an energetic individual that strives for excellence in all that they do!

This year-round role coordinates the delivery of professional and compassionate guest service involving the protection and safety of the general public and resort assets. Applicants should be friendly, outgoing and service orientated individuals.

Job Specifications:

  • Housing: May Be Available

  • Expected Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.51 / hour

  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time

  • Skill Level: Intermediate

Job Skills / Requirements:

  • Colorado EMT-Basic or higher certification – required. NREMT certification reciprocity can be accepted through the State EMS application process.

  • Guest service, security or emergency services related experience preferred but not required.

  • Essential abilities include: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, consistent positive attitude while dealing with the public, stakeholders and employees, the ability to verbally de-escalate tense situations involving guests, strong writing skills, the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

  • Calm, clear and independent decision making is essential, coupled with a professional demeanor and strong compassionate background.

  • Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions. Potential to work in hazardous surroundings exists at all times including exposure to vehicle traffic, wildlife incidents, stressful and emergency situations.

  • Directs traffic when needed. Must be capable of sitting in a vehicle and/or working on foot for extended periods.

  • The ability to patrol and respond on bicycle, including e-bicycle, is desired.

Additional qualifications/requirements include:

  • Cover Letter and Resume - required

  • High School diploma or equivalent - required

  • Valid Driver’s License - required

  • Colorado EMT-Basic or higher certification – required. NREMT certification reciprocity can be accepted through the State EMS application process.

  • Current CRP/AED certification (BLS)

  • Ability to pass a background check and a Motor Vehicle background check.

  • Coordinating response and responding to fire and medical emergencies with the local fire authority and EMS provider along with conducting security patrols of resort properties.

  • Writing and filing reports.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The expected pay range is $22.00 - $25.51. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
