Job Summary: DoubleTree Hotel Bartenders are responsible for serving drinks to bar patrons and restaurant servers, stocking and setting up the bar for service, and performing closing duties at the end of each shift. Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Provide superior service to our customers at all times; interact with customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Open bar facilities; stock and set-up bar for service.
Mix and serve drinks to customers and/or wait staff.
Ensure that all bar staff adhere to state liquor laws and regulations.
Determine when customers should not be served liquor.
Perform cashier duties: set up cash drawer, take payments, return correct change, cash out at the end of each shift, etc.
Help maintain inventory levels by alerting direct supervisor of low-inventory items.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Must be at least 21 years of age – required.
Must have a valid Food Handler’s Permit & SIPS/TIPS or SMART certificate – required.
High School Diploma/GED – required.
At least 1 year of relevant bar, night club, and/or food service experience – required.
Excellent foundational knowledge and skills related to bar set-up and drink preparation – required.
Neat appearance and strong customer interaction skills – required.
Ability to deal with customers in a courteous and efficient manner – required.
Ability to deal effectively with all patrons – required.
Excellent knowledge of state liquor regulations – preferred .
Good basic administrative and math skills – required .
Familiarity with liquor inventory control – preferred.
