Job Summary:

As a Supervisor for the Lift Maintenance function you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of Lift Mechanics to ensure that all scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance is completed in a timely and safe manner. The Lift Maintenance team is critical in ensuring our day to day resort operations. The ability to remain calm and collected during periods of high pressure while also keeping your team focused and engaged is a huge aspect of this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of Lift Mechanics; responsible for hiring, scheduling, performance management, staff development, training and the safety of the team.

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of maintenance programs and capital projects within the department.

  • Taking a lead in specialized Lift Maintenance projects.

  • Developing and documenting Lift Maintenance procedures and protocols. Updating the team with new information where applicable.

  • Accurately documenting repairs, labor, and materials used on all work orders.

  • Ensuring all equipment and areas are kept in neat, orderly, and safe conditions.

  • Assisting the Lift Maintenance Manager by maintaining the operational budget while researching and ordering parts and supplies for the department.

  • Performing routine, emergency and preventative lift maintenance on Resort lifts to ensure a safe and efficient environment for all Resort guests.

  • Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure safe and efficient work environment.

  • Taking a lead role in troubleshooting and repair of lift machinery.

  • Actively involved in lift mechanical emergency procedures and time dependent repairs.

  • Collaborating effectively within the Lift Electrical, Lift Operation, and other Mountain Operation departments.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to work well in a team environment with strong communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize accordingly to departmental goals

  • Able to remain calm under pressure

  • Ability to work efficiently at heights

  • Intermediate ski/snowboard ability

  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Preferred:

  • Previous Lift Maintenance experience and proven competency in general mechanics

  • Previous leadership experience, including scheduling and training

The expected pay range is $35.00/hr +. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
