Vail Resorts Accounting Analyst - Commercial Leasing in Remote, United States

Job Summary:

The primary focus of the Accounting Analyst will be to provide excellent customer service to our tenants. This person will ensure timely, accurate tenant billing and payment of dues and bills, customer account reconciliations and collections, and balance sheet reconciliations. The position will report to the group manager of Commercial Leasing Accounting, and will work closely with the Commercial Leasing Management team and Corporate accounting teams.

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounts receivable for Commercial Leasing Department

  • Timely and accurate tenant billing

  • Process invoicing, sales information, and research receivables

  • Create, update, maintain customer information in systems

  • Handle tenant billing disputes & collections follow-up

  • Responsible for account payables for the Commercial Leasing Department

  • Process invoices including association dues invoices and statements

  • Coupa PO requests and approvals as needed

  • Apply and manage accurate and timely payment applications

  • Reconcile tenant accounts as needed

  • Document tenant accounting changes, track contacts, and follow-up on customer commitments

  • Manage outlook inbox for tenant and management queries

  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

  • Assist with budgeting process, forecasting and sales analysis reporting

  • Ongoing process improvement

  • Ensure accurate accounting within GAAP standards, ensure SOX compliance

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience

  • Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong analytical, presentation, and leadership skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities

  • Outstanding attention to detail

  • High energy and the ability to work highly independently

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years in finance/accounting experience

  • Commercial leasing experience

  • HOA/Strata management experience

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $55,000 - $69,757. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
