Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

Work Location: Vail IT Office, 1031 S Frontage Rd W, Vail, CO 81657. This is an in-person, on-site position. This is not a remote position.

Number of scheduled days: 5

Typical Hours: 8am - 5pm

Job Summary

Come lead, support and develop an IT team tackling IT challenges in a high-energy, fast-paced environment at the world’s most recognized and innovative ski areas by becoming the Information Technology Field Team Manager for Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek resorts. This is an outstanding opportunity for an on-site, in-person, hands-on leader who can will not only motivate, support, and develop staff with varying background and skillsets, but is passionate about their own development, as well. This position will engage in core service management functions such as hiring, procurement, process optimization, and support ticket management. A successful candidate will also be able to manage medium-to-large sized projects while managing stakeholder relationships as they communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with IT and resort leadership to provide service delivery excellence and unmatched employee experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and lead with a positive attitude while solving IT challenges, enjoying the benefits of working for a ski company and having fun in a manner that encourages team members to do the same.

  • Create a positive team culture and processes that build, maintain and lead a team of technology professionals to accomplish goals and encourage continuous growth and development.

  • Ensure and coordinate IT connectivity and support for the local resort(s) IT hardware, managing to established services levels and collaborating with both local business leaders and well as corporate IT teams.

  • Own local enterprise infrastructure technology environment by creating and maintaining accurate asset inventories.

  • Create, propose and manage infrastructure and project budgets and forecasts. Manage expenses to those (and other) budgets.

  • Leverage the power of hundreds of IT team members to suggest and support implementation of new ideas for improving user support and the guest experience.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including both IT leaders and resort operations leaders.

  • Lead, coordinate and collaborate with local and regional leaders to improve processes, deliver service, complete projects, and act on key initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and friendly.

  • Proven ability to lead a diverse team of specialists and subject-matter experts.

  • Three years of experience in service delivery or stakeholder management.

  • Solution oriented with desire to learn new skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of technology support needs within an enterprise environment. Ski industry knowledge preferred.

  • Able to demonstrate a people-first mentality when leading the team, tapping into employees' passions and helping to shape their development within the company.

  • Able to form strong partnerships with key leaders in a dynamic company.

  • The ability to independently and collaboratively develop project plans, understanding project requirements, ensuring vendor engagement, ensuring cross-functional teams meet deadlines, and reporting on progress.

  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.

  • Able to work a schedule that can include weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

  • Valid US driver’s license.

The expected pay range is $66,100 - $108,120 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
