Summary of Job: You will be striving for quality, safety, and efficiency to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests. Snowmakers will assist with day-to-day operations in the safe production of a suitable snow surface and will work as a team member. As an Entry snowmaker, you will learn how to perform proper snow quality checks, snow gun adjustments, assembly and operation of all types of snow guns, and equipment placement on trails. In this job you will be working long hours, overnights and exposed to the elements. This important role is critical to getting the ski season up and running.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting the crew leader in preparation, operation and breakdown of snowmaking guns and hoses
Adheres to all snowmaking policies, safety guidelines and best practice procedures at all times.
Conduct visual inspections and routine maintenance of snow guns and hoses
Safe and efficient operation of trucks, UTVs and a variety of other snowmaking equipment.
Support the snowmaking team in ensuring the highest quality of manmade snow for Wilmot Mountain.
Maintain a safe work environment
Works as a team with other departments to ensure a high quality product for the guests
Will be required to work outside in all weather conditions
Will be required to work weekends and holidays
Work as part of a team to complete tasks
Other duties as assigned
Must be at least 18 years of age – Required
Must have valid Driver’s License – Required
Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions for up to 12 hours – Required
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and carry up to 50lbs - Required
Strong communication and teamwork skills, Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form including communicating on the mountain radio. - Required
previous snowmaking experience snowmaking or other resort experience - Preferred
High School graduation or equivalent – Preferred
Wisconsin Snowmobile Certificate - Preferred
Mechanical and hydraulic knowledge – Preferred
Outdoor/First Aid/CPR Certificate - Preferred
Self-starter with the ability to work well with others.
Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.
Ability to shovel and rake snow surfaces
Weight Lifted- up to 75lbs

Walking Frequency- Frequently on wet, slippery, and steep slopes
Sitting Frequency- Rarely
